Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James had a message for the kids during his press conference at All-Star media day on Saturday in Chicago.

In essence, he echoed some #MambaMentality during a weekend full of Kobe Bryant remembrances. The King's message? Find something that makes you happy and give it everything you have.

“You can't want something but not put in the work. It doesn't matter what your'e doing in life, no matter what it is. It can be a professional athlete, it can be an artist, it could be a doctor, it could be anything in the world—President of the United Sates. But you got to put the work in, and I think if you put the work in, results will happen organically,” LeBron shared, per Ben Golliver of  The Washington Post.

“And most important, you got to find happiness, too. If you're having fun, enjoying what you're doing, then it just makes it so much easier. It makes it so much easier to just like—you want to do it every day, because it's something that you really enjoy doing that you don't look at it as work.”

The Lakers star famously opened up the I Promise School in his hometown of Akron in 2018. This week, it was announced that the school's first graduating class (currently juniors) will receive free tuition, a year of free room and board and a meal plan at Kent State University on behalf of The LeBron James Family Foundation.

Indeed, aside from inspiring the younger generation by becoming a role model, James is also doing his best and putting in the work to help those in need. His journey to the NBA has not been easy, but LBJ is always ready to give back and motivate people, especially children, to reach their dreams.
