Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala has had plenty of battles with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, and if there's one thing he has learned throughout those showdowns, it's the fact that King James can't be stopped.

However, that doesn't mean it's impossible to guard LeBron.

During his appearance on The Draymond Green Show, Iguodala shared how Andrew Wiggins approached him to ask for tips on stopping the Lakers leader. His answer is simple: you can't.

“I gave him some pointers. Like, it's really not about stopping him because you can't. It's about beating him to the spot when he gets there. That starts when [Stephen Curry] shoots. So as soon as Steph shot the ball, I would be looking for LeBron like, ‘All right. Where is he at? At what point attack will he be taking the ball out of bounds?' That's the first thing that went on my mind,” the Warriors swingman explained, via Yahoo Sports.

It's not hard to see where Andre Iguodala is coming from. After all, everyone knows the Lakers star is a freak athlete. It's even safe to say LeBron James is the most complete player to step on the court. He can shoot, rebound, pass and defend all at an elite level, thanks to his basketball IQ and sheer athleticism.

Even at age 36, he continues to be a difficult player to defend, using his basketball smarts to consistently beat his defenders night in and night out. While he has been riddled with injuries and COVID-19 this season, LeBron has certainly impressed in the games he played in with the Lakers.

He may no longer be the same superhuman everyone knows, but Iguodala's comments still rings true to this day. If you want to guard LeBron James and make life hard for him, don't try to “stop” him.
