The Isaiah Thomas era with the Los Angeles Lakers has officially begun and is in full force. The star point guard, who made his Lakers debut on Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center, looked like the dominant player he was last season with the Boston Celtics during the first half versus the Mavs.
After he checked in off the bench for the Lakers about midway through the first quarter and the game tied at 21-21, Thomas chucked up a 3-pointer and made his first shot as a member of his new team. Once he drained the shot from behind the arc, the Lakers bench and fans in the crowd were very hyped as a result of Thomas' immediate impact.
A video of his first shot in a Lakers uniform, which was posted to Twitter by Bleacher Report, can be viewed below in all of its glory.

Thomas looked great in the first half of his Lakers debut following his surprising trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers, along with power forward Channing Frye and a 2018 first-round draft choice, for guard Jordan Clarkson and forward Larry Nance Jr.
In just 14 minutes of action off the bench, Thomas led all scorers with 16 points on 4-of-7 shots from behind the arc and four assists.
At halftime, the Lakers led the Mavs by a score of 66-65 in a game that featured a ton of offensive highlights during the first half. Lakers power forward Julius Randle had 15 points and five assists in the first half, while rising star small forward Brandon Ingram had 12 points of his own on 5-of-7 shots from the field.
