The Los Angeles Lakers’ rookie in Kyle Kuzma is definitely one of the team’s best players and in the game Wednesday night versus the Phoenix Suns, he showed his dominance with a ferocious slam on a fastbreak.

In the fourth quarter, the Suns had the ball on their court when Troy Daniels attempted a 3-pointer that Corey Brewer blocked. That defensive play ignited a Lakers fastbreak, Showtime style. Alex Caruso grabbed the loose ball, then passed it to Jordan Clarkson who ran down the court. To his right was Kuzma who was streaking in as fast as he could.

He received the ball at the 3-point line, but with his long, lengthy strides, Kuzma never even dribbled the ball on his way to the hoop for a tomahawk jam.

The crowd at the Staples Center went crazy after that play as the Suns had to call a timeout after the Lakers pushed the lead to 10 points, 95-85.

The Lakers would ultimately go on to rout the Suns 112-93. Brandon Ingram led the way with 26 points and Julius Randle chipped in with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and one block.

For his part, Kuzma contributed 16 points with four rebounds.

The win marked the Lakers' 11th victory in their last 15 games, a stretch that has been impressive despite the team missing rookie Lonzo Ball, their starting point guard, who is out with a knee injury.

The Lakers will be facing the Oklahoma City Thunder at home on Thursday before going on the road for their next three games.
