In the days leading up to the 2017 NBA Draft, there was talk that the Los Angeles Clippers had gauged the league's interest in All-Star center DeAndre Jordan.

However, Lawrence Frank, the Clippers executive vice president of basketball operations, came out to speak following the NBA Draft to discuss the Clippers' acquisitions. He was also asked about the Jordan rumors, which he quickly squashed.

There is much truth to what Frank is stating in that not every rumor floating out there has credence to it, but it's not out of the realm of the possibility that the Clippers at least put some feelers out there in the trade market.

For the time being, the team's primary focus remains on trying to re-sign their other two star players in Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, who are both expected to opt out of the final years of their respective deals to become unrestricted free agents. The fate of each of these players could have a tremendous impact in shaping the future of the franchise moving forward.

If either both one of these players decides to bolt in free agency, it could change the organization's entire outlook on the rest of the team that includes Jordan, who has developed into one of the premier big men in the league. The 29-year-old has two years remaining on his deal that includes a $24.1 player option for the 2018-19 season.

Until the Clippers sort out what will happen with Paul and Griffin, any talk about Jordan's future with the team remains in the background.
