LiAngelo Ball isn't currently on an NBA roster, but he is still trying to keep his dream alive to play in the NBA. After getting released by the Detroit Pistons before the 2020-2021 season, Ball is signing a contract to play in the NBA G League, per The Athletic's Shams Charania.

While the NBA conducted a bubble to finish last season, they have decided not to have one during the new season. However, the league is going to have a bubble for the G League that is set to begin in the near future.

As for Ball, he had hopes of getting a chance to play in the NBA after his aforementioned Pistons signing. But before he could make his debut in the preseason, Ball was waived by Detroit, which didn't sit well with LaVar Ball.

LiAngelo Ball hasn't gotten a chance to play a single minute in the NBA since having a chance to do so after the 2018-2019 season. Last year, Ball signed a deal with the Oklahoma City Blue — the G League team of the Oklahoma City Thunder — but the season was canceled due to COVID-19.

Even though it remains to be seen what team Ball will play for in the upcoming G League bubble, the 22-year-old guard will get an opportunity to show his skills in front of NBA scouts and coaches. When the bubble for the G League begins, a lot of attention will undoubtedly be centered around the middle Ball brother and how he performs.
