The Detroit Lions won't be making the playoffs as they're eliminated from the postseason. However, this franchise is looking to end the year strong. To do so, Detroit aims to stun the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. It'll be a difficult task considering they will be without their superstar running back, D'Andre Swift yet again. The fantasy football playoffs just got much more interesting.

According to The Detroit News, D'Andre Swift is officially inactive against the Falcons. The Lions' rising star will be missing his fourth straight game, which doesn't bode well for Detroit's chances. Additionally, this ruling impacts the fantasy football playoffs, as any manager with Swift must find a flex option to replace him.

Craig Reynolds and Jamaal Williams are both set to play for the Lions on Sunday. Reynolds has done a great job filling in as the starting running back, providing solid fantasy points the last two games. Anyone searching for a desperate replacement for Swift should highly consider starting Reynolds, as the Lions are bound to keep feeding him the ball.

It'll be interesting to see how the Lions play on Sunday, as they're also without Jared Goff. Detroit's starting quarterback put together a solid performance in his last game and has made Amon-Ra St. Brown a valuable fantasy football asset. With Goff out of the lineup, the coaching staff might rely on the run game more than usual, making Craig Reynolds a safe option in Week 16.

We'll see how it all plays out. Hopefully, you have a replacement for Swift already and don't need to hit the waiver wire in the final minutes. If you need a desperate flex play, players like Michael Gallup, Braxton Berrios, or Joshua Palmer all have decent fantasy outlooks in Week 16.
