It was announced on Wednesday that Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed, and Rickie Fowler are following Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson to the LIV Golf Tour. There have been a number of other stars who are taking the Saudi golf money and ditching the PGA Tour as well. However, one golfer who is certainly sticking around is Justin Thomas.

Thomas commented on other players' decisions, notably that of Dustin Johnson, to join LIV Golf.

“Look, people are entitled to choose as they wish,” Thomas said. “I don’t dislike DJ (Dustin Johnson) now, I don’t think he’s a bad dude. I’m not gonna treat him any differently.”

Thomas continued by explaining how backlash can become a problem.

“I think that the day and age that we live in now… it’s just so negative. You see it in everything. Sport, politics, whatever it is. It’s like, if you disagree with someone, you just feel like you're entitled to hate them, and talk bad about them, and just bash their decision. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Like I said, it doesn’t make him (Johnson) a bad person.”

Finally, Thomas capped off his rant by explaining his true feelings on the matter of players leaving the PGA Tour for the LIV Golf Tour.

“Now I’m disappointed and I wish that he and others wouldn’t have done it, but that’s their decision,” Thomas said. “Selfishly, I think and I know that the PGA Tour is the best place to play in the world.”

Justin Thomas took a mature approach in his response. He, Tiger Woods, John Rahm, and the rest of the stars who stuck around will receive plenty of praise and admiration from PGA Tour fans.
