Phil Mickelson might not be able to appear in a PGA TOUR event ever again. With the golf organization announcing that all current and future players of LIV Golf are no longer allowed to play in the PGA TOUR, Mickelson, along with the others who have decided to participate in the Greg Norman-backed league, can at least criticize the PGA TOUR without worrying about meaningful sanctions from the league they defected from.

In fact, Mickelson has already seemingly fired a shot at the PGA TOUR with what is perceived to be a subtle troll job when his attire in the first-ever LIV Golf tournament at Centurion Club in Hertfordshire, England.

If Mickelson's time in the PGA TOUR is indeed over, then his win at the 2021 PGA Championship was his last with the league. That was an especially memorable tournament not only for Mickelson but for all golf fans as well, considering that that was where Lefty became the oldest player ever to win a major event.

Mickelson has not played in the PGA TOUR since missing the cut at the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open last February, mainly because he took a sabbatical after catching a storm of criticism after his controversial comments with regards to the LIV Golf got spilled by journalist Alan Shipnuck. While Mickelson himself has not completely shut the door on a return to PGA TOUR, it could get even uglier before that even happens.
