The Los Angeles Chargers meet the Houston Texans in Week 16, looking to bounce back from a pivotal 34-28 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs last Thursday. The loss dropped the Chargers to sixth in the AFC, at risk of falling out of the playoffs over the remainder of the regular season. But Los Angeles has a perfect opportunity to get a win over the rebuilding Texans on Sunday, who are 3-11 on the year.

Here are four bold Los Angeles Chargers predictions for Week 16 against the Texans.

Chargers Week 16 Bold Predictions

4. Chargers force multiple turnovers

The Chargers' defense will be key as they fight to make the playoffs over the season's remainder. With the AFC playoff race so tight, Los Angeles' defense needs to play up to its full potential. The Chiefs dropped 34 points on the Chargers, with Patrick Mahomes dominating late.

The former MVP threw for 410 yards along with three touchdowns and one interception, finding favorite targets Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce again and again for big plays downfield. While the Texans aren't a great team, Los Angeles' defense still needs to step up and force some turnovers to get extra possessions for the offense.

3. Keenan Allen catches two touchdowns

Keenan Allen is one of the most underrated wide receivers in the NFL. He is always consistent with his play and is a phenomenal route runner.

This season, Allen has 92 receptions for 1,007 yards and five touchdowns. He is routinely able to work himself open for Justin Herbert and is good after the catch. Allen should torch the Texans secondary, which lacks the talent and experience to deal with a pass-catcher of his caliber.

It will take a dedicated effort for Houston to contain Allen, who should find the endzone multiple times.

2. Justin Herbert throws three touchdowns

Herbert has followed up his record-breaking rookie year with another fantastic season. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl and has a bright career ahead of him.

So far this season, Herbert has thrown for 4,058 yards along with 32 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He has led the Chargers to an 8-6 record, and they are primed to make the playoffs. If he continues his elite play, Hebert and Los Angeles will be a tough out in the playoffs.

1. Chargers cruise to a win

Although the Chargers are in a hard-fought playoff race, this should be an easy victory. The Texans are in the midst of a rebuild and simply don't have the talent to keep up with Los Angeles. They have more talent on both sides of the ball, not to mention better coaching.

The stakes matter here, too. The Texans aren't playing for anything but pride, while Los Angeles still has plenty realistic Super Bowl hopes. Herbert and the Chargers' offense has been playing at a very high level, and if their defense improves, it will be near impossible for Houston to defeat them.

The Chargers finish the season with two somewhat difficult games against the division-rival Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders. Brandon Staley has done an excellent job of maximizing his team's talent. Los Angeles is clicking at the right time and will be a dangerous team in the playoffs if it takes care of business from here on out, starting with a win over Houston.
