Time to continue the Madden 24 Simulates series for another week of NFL matchups. Last week, Madden 24 embarrassed itself, going 4-9 in the Week 7 games predictions. Will it redeem itself this week with an all-new set of matchups? Let's find out.

Madden 24 Simulates NFL Week 8 Games

The rules for the series are quite simple. We run 15-minute quarter Madden NFL games and simulate the entire game. We do take injuries into account to create an accurate representation of the matchup. However, if a player is listed as questionable, then we take other factors into account. If the player seems trending towards a start, then we'll start the player. Usually, we only sideline doubtful players and those definitely injured.

Let's get into these Week 8 Games.

Madden 24 Simulates – Buccaneers 16 – Bills 21

The Buccaneers kicked off TNF with a solid 10-0 start. Shaquil Barrett racked up a sack in the second quarter, forcing Josh Allen to fumble. The Buccaneers responded with a 4-yard TD rush by Rachaad White to go up 10-0.

Buffalo scored a touchdown with 47 seconds remaining in the half, making it 10-7. In the second half, they replicated their offensive success, scoring a touchdown on the opening drive. Unfortunately, the Bills got shut down again for most of the match.

The Bucs took advantage, scoring two field goals to take the lead again 16-14. However, Josh Allen connected with his favorite target, Stefon Diggs, and scored a touchdown with 5:12 remaining. The Buccaneers failed to score a touchdown, and Buffalo advanced to 5-3.

Madden 24 Simulates – Jets 13 – Giants 3

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Jets0100313
Giants30003

The Giants' first drive represented the way they played the entire game. They managed to move downfield, but failed to score touchdowns on four redzone trips. They scored a field goal on the first, fumbled on the second, missed their field goal on the third (blocked), and intercepted on the fourth.

We decided to sit Daniel Jones out again, as Brian Daboll really hasn't answered on the QB's status yet. Regardless, Tyrod Taylor seems like an upgrade after managing to help the Giants score actual touchdowns last week.

Overall, The Jets played an ugly game on offense, but they got the job done. Zach Wilson threw two picks, but he managed to score the only touchdown by running it 8 yards into the endzone. The Jets march to 4-3 with a potential playoff berth looming.

Madden 24 Simulates – Jaguars 17 – Steelers 10

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL

Kenny Pickett and Trevor Lawrence threw three picks apiece as the Jaguars barely got away from the Steelers in Pittsburgh. RB Travis Etienne left the game for a couple quarters, but returned in time to score the game winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Steelers enjoyed a great second quarter, scoring 10 points while forcing two turnovers. However, for the rest of the game, the offense lacked identity. George Pickens caught the ball eight times for 36 yards, while Najee Harris ran 12 times for 18 yards.

The Jaguars didn't do great either. Trevor Lawrence finished with a stat line of 12/25, 152 yards, 1 TD, and three INTs. However, they managed to make their way into a comfortable 6-2 record. The Steelers drop to 4-3 but still remain in the playoff race.

Madden 24 Simulates – Eagles 24 – Commanders 14

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Eagles0147324
Commanders700714

The Eagles let the Commanders take a 7-0 lead on their first drive, but shut them out for the rest of the day. Jalen Hurts finally had a turnover-free game, throwing two touchdown passes and over 250 yards. Fun fact, he did not run the ball once (so expect this to not be the case this Sunday). However, D'Andre Swift dominated the run-game, carrying the ball 18 times for 112 yards and a touchdown. Additionally, the Eagles defense got 4 sacks on QB Sam Howell.

The Commanders, meanwhile, couldn't find the endzone again until the fourth quarter. By then, they were already down 24-14, and with 4:00 minutes remaining, Philly managed to run down the clock and win the game.

With the win, the Birds improve to 7-1, while Washington starts to collapse with two straight divisional losses.

Madden 24 Simulates – Rams 10 – Cowboys 28

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Rams730010
Cowboys7147028

The game was actually pretty close until Matthew Stafford threw a pick-six in the second quarter to Trevon Diggs for 55 yards. Afterwards, the Cowboys started the second half strong, extending their lead to 28-10. Despite the convincing score, Dak Prescott still struggled to put on a great performance. He ended the day 18-of-25, 179 yards, and a touchdown pass.

However, Tony Pollard also helped the Cowboys stay on the field, running 21 times for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

The Rams, on the other hand, seemed lost after the interception. The biggest issue for the team was at RB. Kyren Williams struggled all day, running only 12 times for 42 yards. Additionally, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua caught a combined 10 passes for only 89 yards. So, the off day for the Rams sets them back even further in the NFC West race. Meanwhile, the Cowboys remain right behind the Eagles at 5-2.

Madden 24 Simulates – Vikings 26 – Packers 24

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Vikings31010326
Packers7014324

Perhaps the most entertaining matchup occurred at the virtual Lambeau Field. The Vikings established a 13-7 lead at half, but don't let the scores convince you. Green Bay attempted a 4th and inches at the Vikings 39, but unfortunately got stuffed in the run. Then, A.J. Dillon fumbled the ball on their very next drive, allowing Minnesota to score a field goal before half.

The Packers got their act together in the third quarter, scoring two touchdowns in convincing fashion. However, the Vikings always stayed in the game and competitive. Rookie WR Jordan Addison balled out while Justin Jefferson recovered from injury. He racked up 9 catches for 106 yards and a touchdown.

The end of the game saw the Packers take the lead 24-23 with 1:20 remaining. However, Kirk Cousins revealed his inner dog, and led the Vikings down to the Packers' 25 yard line in just three plays. T.J. Hockenson caught a nice 44 yard pass, which set up Minnesota beautifully for the game winning field goal just a few plays later.

Madden 24 Simulates – Falcons 15 – Titans 9 (OT)

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4OVERTIMEFINAL

Younghoe Koo saves the Falcons' day with three FGs of 40+ yards to help them reach OT. The Titans opted with backup QB Malik Willis again as Ryan Tannehill's status remains in the air.

Nobody played a good game, except maybe Willis, who had a nice 22 yard run late in the third. However, he finished with an awful stat line of 10/15, 82 yards, 1 INT. Derrick Henry ran a whopping 28 times, for only 80 yards. This, along with Bijan running 20 times, explained the low score. Both teams took forever to reach the opponent's territory, and when they did, it either resulted in punts or field goals.

Luckily, Kyle Pitts made the game winning touchdown catch on the Falcon's first drive in OT. Unlike the rest of the game, it seemed like the only moment where an offense actually played well. Hopefully Atlanta captures that magic as they go 5-3.

Madden 24 Simulates – Patriots 7 – Dolphins 20

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Patriots00077

Despite Tyreek Hill's promise to do better, the elite receiver got outshined by Jaylen Waddle, who caught 7 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Hill, on the other hand, only caught four passes for 43 yards.

The Patriots, who managed to upset Buffalo the week prior, once again failed to produce on offense. Mac Jones played ok on paper (24/30, 205 yards, 1 touchdown), but the Patriots only converted 33% of third downs.

The Dolphins played fine considering the Pats' defense, but they seemed uncharacteristic. The offense that put up 70 points just a few weeks ago now has yet to score more than 20 points in two games in a row. However, they pick up a win and remain the top team in their division.

Madden 24 Simulates – Saints 17 – Colts 30

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Saints773017
Colts7160831

The Saints kept it close in the first half, trailing 14-7 at their own 10 yard line. Unfortunately, the Colts racked up two sacks in a row, forcing a safety. Furthermore, Indianapolis responded with a quick TD drive lead by Johnathan Taylor and extended their lead 23-7. New Orleans managed to score 10 unanswered, but after a Michael Pittman touchdown started off the fourth quarter, it all seemed lost.

Fun fact, the score here represents the exact Super Bowl XLIV score, in which New Orleans defeated the Colts 31-17. Perhaps Indy still had some beef about the loss from over a decade ago.

We took Chris Olave out of the match. Considering his current status, we assume he'll either be benched or unable to play as punishment for his conduct. However, we truly do not know if the star WR plans to play this Sunday.

Madden 24 Simulates – Texans 14 – Panthers 0

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Texans007714
Panthers00000

Absolute snooze fest here in Carolina. Overall, the Panthers failed to score any points in what might be the first shut out of this series. Additionally, Bryce Young got injured in the first half, leaving Andy Dalton in charge.

Overall, Dalton performed the same, if not, worse than Young did. He completed 8/19 passes for 121 yards while running three times for 15 yards. The only somewhat bright spot on the offense was Adam Thielen, who managed to catch 6 passes for 72 yards.

Furthermore, the Texans' defense under DeMeco Ryans played very well. The Panthers only converted one third down. While the defense failed to force a turnover, they ended the day with seven sacks!

However, C.J. Stroud didn't play too well. He threw two interceptions to only one touchdown. Thankfully, the defense managed to keep him and the offense afloat. With the win, Houston advances to 4-3 while Carolina remains winlesss.

Madden 24 Simulates – Browns 20 – Seahawks 24

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Browns3331120
Seahawks773724

Overall, the Seahawks played a good game on both offense and defense. They scored touchdowns on all three of their redzone trips, and added a field goal which extended their lead 17-9.

However, Cleveland responded with 11 unanswered points. Myles Garrett forced Geno Smith to fumble, which the Browns recovered at the Seahawks' 21. Deshaun Watson connected with RB Jerome Ford two plays later, and Amari Cooper caught the two-point conversion.

The Seahawks punted on their next drive, and Cleveland took a lead with a FG. However, Seattle didn't let things end there. With 3:26 remaining, Geno Smith found Tyler Lockett for a short slant down the middle. With great blocking, Lockett took it all the way for a 64-yard TD reception.

Cleveland failed to respond, and Seattle managed to run the clock out.

Madden 24 Simulates – Bengals 35 – 49ers 31

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Bengals14071435
49ers01431431

Overall, this was the only match of the week without a turnover from either side. The Bengals dominated in the first quarter, and San Francisco dominated in the second. But the third quarter is where things really shook up.

After Joe Burrow connected with his favorite receiver, Ja'Marr Chase for a 27 yard TD to start the third, the 49ers failed to respond. They did manage to score a 20 yard field goal, but it would ultimately cost them in the end.

Overall, the fourth quarter saw both teams going back and forth with four touchdown drives in a row. Cincinnati just happened to have the ball with 3:28 remaining, and ran out the clock to victory. With the win, they advance to 4-3 while San Fran loses three in a row. Perhaps the Brock Purdy Linsanity run is over.

Madden 24 Simulates – Chiefs 23 – Broncos 10

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Chiefs3107323
Broncos703010

As always, Russell Wilson and the Broncos failed to produce on offense. Good news for Courtland Sutton fantasy owners, as he scored the team's only touchdown on their second drive. However, that's where the fun for Broncos fans ended.

We assume Taylor Swift attended the game, because Travis Kelce went absolutely wild. Catching 10 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns, Kelce alone scored more touchdowns than the entire Broncos offense.

Patrick Mahomes also played a good game, but he also threw an interception in the third quarter, giving the Broncos the chance to lower the score difference 20-10. However, he played well enough to keep the Chiefs in the #1 seed.

With the win, KC only has one loss while the Broncos have 6.

Madden 24 Simulates – Ravens 28 – Cardinals 7

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Ravens0217028
Cardinals70007

Lamar Jackson isn't done making doubters (such as myself) look stupid. While the team trailed 7-0 at the end of the first, it all changed afterwards. Lamar threw all four touchdown passes, three to Mark Andrews, and one to Zay Flowers. it seems National Tight End Day got an extension, as Andrews caught 6 passes for 71 yards and three touchdowns.

Josh Dobbs and the Cardinals started the game amazingly. He connected with Zach Ertz to take the lead 7-0. For the rest of the game, he forgot how to play QB. His three interceptions strangely only led to one Baltimore score, but he still gave them those opportunities.

Overall, the Cardinals get closer to drafting Caleb Williams each and every day while the Ravens look like serious Super Bowl contenders.

Madden 24 Simulates – Bears 6 – Chargers 21

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Bears30306
Chargers0701421

Tyson Bagent understandably struggled as the Bears failed to reach the red zone all day. The Chargers didn't play too great either, but did enough in the fourth quarter to secure a win.

Overall, Tyson Bagent performed alright, completing 10 of 16 passes for 103 yards and no interceptions. However, Khalil Mack sacked the QB in the fourth, and scooped it up before falling at the Bears' 4.

Overall, there's not really too much to go over in this game. No receiver outside of Keenan Allen received more than 50 yards, while Justin Herbert needed his defense to pick him back up. At least the Chargers' win keeps them in the playoff conversation. However, it's still a long way for them to achieve such a goal.

Madden 24 Simulates – Raiders 10 – Lions 17

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL
Raiders300710
Lions737017

The Lions' offense hoped to pick back up after an ugly loss to Baltimore. However, that wasn't quite the case, though they secured the win.

Despite Jimmy G's return, the Raiders also struggled offensively. Davante Adams got injured early and missed the whole game, leaving the Raiders in serious trouble. However, Jakobi Meyers stepped up to the challenge, and played okay considering the score (5 catches, 72 yards, touchdown).

The Lions managed to get a score in every quarter until the fourth, but by then they had a 17-3 lead. The Raiders scored with about 6 minutes remaining. However, when they got the ball back, Jimmy Garoppolo threw an interception on the first play of the drive. The Lions missed their FG, but wasted enough time to prevent the Raiders from dealing more damage.

The Lions recover and remain in the playoffs while the Raiders look to see who they're picking up in April.

And that wraps it up for this week's installment of Madden 24 Simulates NFL Week 8 Games. We hope you enjoyed the results and can't wait to see you next week. Overall, we hope to see Madden 24 make a rebound and accurately predict these games. But in the meanwhile, go enjoy yourselves some Football.
