Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry broke the NBA‘s record for all-time three-pointers made in a career on Tuesday night against the New York Knicks. It took Curry roughly half the amount of games that it took the previous record holder, Hall-of-Famer Ray Allen, to accomplish the feat. After the historic milestone, another Hall-of-Fame player, Magic Johnson, decided to join in on the congratulatory tweets being sent Steph's way.

Magic is happy to not only see Curry break the record but for the fact that Steph's parents, (Dell and Sonya) were there to witness the record being broken by their son. This must have been a very proud moment for Dell, especially, who played 17 seasons in the NBA himself. It was almost a “superfamily affair” in Curry's last game on Saturday when Steph came within two three's of breaking the record against his brother Seth Curry, who is currently a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.

While it was not meant to be that night, Tuesday was a different story. Within the first few minutes of the first quarter, Curry had already broken the record and the rest was history. The moment was perfect for both fans and players alike as Steph was able to break the record on national TV inside of none other than the “Basketball Mecca” of Madison Square Garden against the Knicks.

As far as the game goes, the Warriors won yet again. This time the score was 105-96, and it improved Golden State to an NBA best 23-5 on the 2021-22 season. Curry finished with 22 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 34 minutes.
