Orlando Magic power forward Aaron Gordon will be held out of Tuesday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs. According to a report from Josh Robbins of Orlando Sentinel, the former No. 4 overall pick in the 2014 Draft failed one of the final portions of the NBA's concussion protocol tests.

Gordon has been in concussion protocol since March 8. The former Arizona Wildcat collided with Julius Randle during the second half of Wednesday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. This marks the third consecutive game he'll miss.

“It’s pretty frustrating, but it’s something that I can control,” Gordon told Robbins after Orlando’s shootaround at AT&T Center. “You’ve got this little card test that finishes the protocol. So I’ve got another chance at it tomorrow. But I always want to play. I always, always want to play. Too bad I can’t play tonight. We’ll see if I can play against Milwaukee tomorrow.”

Gordon, 22, has suffered three concussions in the NBA. He missed two games in mid-December and three games during the 2015-16 season.

Via Orlando Sentinel:

Gordon, who will be a restricted free agent in July, said he merely was suffering from a migraine, but his failure in the protocol’s card test, which measures memory, casts doubt on his assertion.

If Gordon did suffer a concussion, as team officials believe, it was his third concussion over the last 23 months.

In his 47 games played for the Magic this season, Gordon has racked up averages of 18.3 points on 44.3 percent shooting from the field (34.8 percent from beyond the arc), 8.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Tuesday night's game between the Magic (20-47) and Spurs (37-30) is set to tip inside the AT&T Center at 8:30 p.m. EST with Fox Sports Florida having live broadcast coverage.
