The Orlando Magic are fighting tooth and nail with the Miami Heat for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They are currently half a game behind the eighth seed, but the momentum seems to be on their favor.

The Magic have now won five straight and will embark on a four-game road trip against four of the best teams in the East, and for Evan Fournier, Orlando has to perform better on the road because that's what good playoff teams do.

“Yeah, we're playing well. We're playing with confidence,” Fournier said, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.

“But we've played at home for, like, five games now. Playoff teams are teams that travel well. We have a tough schedule ahead of us. We'll see after that road trip.”

Coincidentally, they will face the Heat on Tuesday, which is going to be the first game of the road swing. Then they will head to Detroit to face the Pistons on Thursday, then the Indiana Pacers on Saturday before ending up in Canada to face the Toronto Raptors on Monday.

A win against Miami could inch Orlando closer to the final playoff spot, but as Evan Fournier said, they will have to do well the rest of the way as they surely won't get home-court advantage in the first round.

After the trip, the Magic will be at home to face the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks. They will finish the season on the road to face the Boston Celtics and the Charlotte Hornets.

Fournier was the one who said that if the Magic won't make the playoffs, this could be the final year that their core will be together, so they are determined to do what it takes to break their postseason drought.
