The Orlando Magic have decided to sign free agent Rashad Vaughn to a 10-day contract, according to a report from Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

Vaughn, now 21 years of age, is a 6-6 shooting guard who hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he earned McDonald's All-American honors at Robbinsdale Cooper High School (19.9 points and 4.9 assists per game in 2013–14).

After playing just one season at UNLV, where he was named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year for his outstanding play (17.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in 23 games), Vaughn was selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. Vaughn has also spent some time with teams in the G-League, including the Westchester Knicks and Canton Charge.

Vaughn was traded from the Bucks to the Brooklyn Nets on February 5, 2018. Just three days later, the Nets traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans, who then waived him on February 10, 2018.

In his 134 career games played in the NBA (eight starts), Vaughn has racked up averages of 3.1 points on 33.7 percent shooting from the field (31.2 from beyond the arc) and 1.2 rebounds.
