Please invite Aaron Gordon into this year's Slam Dunk contest. The Orlando Magic forward is athletically gifted and is one of the best dunkers in the league.

And highlights like this one proves just that.

Only a few players can catch an alley-oop pass from half court. Aaron Gordon is one of them.

The Magic were running in transition when DJ Augustin suddenly threw the ball towards the basket after barely crossing halfcourt. Gordon then jumped out of nowhere, caught the ball mid-air, and slammed it with authority, much to the delight of the crowd.

And to the surprise of the Washington Wizards.

Unfortunately, Washington had the last laugh, as they beat Orlando 95-91.

Still, that dunk was incredible.

Gordon finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists while shooting 8-of-16 from the field.

A win against the Wizards would've put the Magic just two games behind the Miami Heat in the team standings. Now they're stuck at 11th with a record of 20-29.

Nikola Vucevic led the Magic with 28 points and nine rebounds, while Terrence Ross added 16 points, six boards, and four dimes off the bench.

The Wizards got 27 points, seven assists, and six rebounds from Bradley Beal while Jeff Green added 24 points and six boards.

At the end of the day though, Gordon still needs to be in the Dunk contest.
