Evan Fournier scored on a floater at the buzzer to help the Orlando Magic escape with a 109-107 win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday at the Amway Center.

Reggie Bullock made three free throws to tie the game at 107 with 2.5 seconds left to play. In the final possession of the close match, Aaron Gordon found Fournier, who saw an open lane to the basket. The French guard launched a floater over Pistons superstar Andre Drummond straight to basket as the final buzzer sounded.

Fournier finished with 13 points on top of five rebounds and three assists. Nikola Vucevic also had a big night for Orlando, as he racked up 22 points and 11 rebounds to go along with four assists and two blocks.

DJ Augustin led the Magic in scoring with 26 points on 6-for-11 shooting, including a 4-for-7 clip from beyond the arc and a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. Aaron Gordon added 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Terrence Ross tallied nine points and nine rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench.

The Magic built a nine-point lead off a layup from Vucevic with 3:34 left to play and looked headed to a comfortable win. However, Bruce Brown and Reggie Bullock made big plays for Detroit down the stretch to tie the game before Fournier punched them in the gut with the buzzer-beating floater.

Drummond had a double-double night for the Pistons with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Luke Kennard scored a team-high 16 points, while Bullock and Blake Griffin added 15 points apiece for Detroit, who shot just 25.8 percent from beyond the arc.

The win was the second straight for Orlando after scoring an upset against the Toronto Raptors on Friday. With their 16-19 record, they are moved just half-a-game behind the Pistons for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
