The New York Knicks hold the eighth overall pick in this year's draft that will put them in the position to grab one of the top prospects.

In light of that, the Knicks recently worked out former Kentucky point guard Malik Monk, who spoke highly of the team's use of the triangle offense, according to Al Iannazone of News Day.

“A lot of movement,” Monk said about the triangle. “It’s movement off the ball. I move off the ball great. I think it’s great for me.”

There has been much criticism voiced about New York's decision to utilize the triangle offense despite the team experiencing an utter lack of success under Jackson over the last two years. There have also been reports that free agents don't want to play with the Knicks in the offensive scheme.

That said, Monk is a prospect looking to get his NBA career going and singing praise about the Knicks is likely his way of endearing himself more to the organization and Jackson, who holds the final say on the matter. On top of that, it's not like New York doesn't have talent in place around their core group led by Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.

Monk is regarded as one of the top talents in this year's draft class. He has shown to be a versatile scorer as a factor offensively from the outside and can get to the basket off the dribble. In his lone season at Kentucky, he averaged 19.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
