Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic was forced to exit Monday's game against the Orlando Magic due to a head injury.

Doncic was hurt after he hit his head on the knee of a Magic defender after falling backward midway through the third quarter of the contest. He was taken out of the game due to concussion protocol. As the Slovenian guard was walking off the court and into the tunnel, he can be seen nursing his head, clear in pain.

Fortunately for the Mavs, however, it seems Luka Doncic is fine and didn't suffer a serious injury. After being evaluated, he returned to the bench and was made available to continue in the game, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

It would have been a massive blow to the Mavs had Doncic been ruled out for the rest of the game. The 24-year-old guard is having an MVP-caliber season, averaging 32.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.7 assists while shooting 48.9 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from deep. There's just no way Dallas can replace his production, even though they still have Kyrie Irving in the fold.

Suffering concussion could also force Doncic to miss some games if he's unable to clear protocols. The good thing is the Mavs don't need to worry about it now with Doncic in good condition.

Hopefully, though, there won't be any lingering effect after the game as a result of the hit. It's certainly something worth keeping an eye on, especially with Dallas returning to action on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors.
