The New York Mets have made headlines for unfortunate reasons after Javier Baez ripped the fans for their constant booing. Both Baez and Francisco Lindor issued apologies, and Baez came out to a chorus of boos from Mets fans during Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins.

Well, Baez got a little redemption on Tuesday. With the Mets trailing in the bottom of the ninth inning, Baez would end up scoring the game-winning run on a bobble by the Marlins left fielder, sending the New York fans into a frenzy.

The Mets came storming back on a Tuesday matinee game, and Michael Conforto tied the game with a single to left, and Baez came around to score on the bobble.

Baez certainly lost favor quickly after his comments towards the Mets fans, and after he issued an apology, perhaps the two sides can forgive each other and focus on winning baseball games with September starting and teams fighting for a playoff spot.

The struggles have essentially pushed them out of the race for the National League East, and they are getting buried in the NL Wild Card as well after dropping 12 of 14 games at the end of August, so it is understandable that Mets fans have been frustrated.
