With a Miami Dolphins Week 6 game scheduled against the Jacksonville Jaguars, each franchise is desperately searching for a win. It's why we'll be looking at the Dolphins-Jaguars matchup, with our Dolphins Week 6 predictions.

The hype surrounding Miami has essentially vanished, but it could turn around with a victory on Sunday. To do that, the defense must step up in a big way and slow down the Jaguars' rushing attack. If the dolphins can manage that, they should be able to control this contest throughout most of the game.

This is a preferable matchup for the Dolphins, as the Jaguars don't have a competitive defense. It's been a rough start to the season, but this could be a game we finally see Myles Gaskin live up to his potential. Jacksonville has a poor secondary, so we might see Jaylen Waddle take advantage and show off his skill set. Lastly, Tua Tagovailoa returns and could give this franchise new life as we approach the middle of the season.

With that said, here are four bold Dolphins Week 6 predictions for their matchup against the Jaguars.

Dolphins Week 6 Predictions

4. Dolphins defense shuts down the Jaguars run game

Jacksonville has plenty of talent on their offense to be excited about, however, they're too young to accomplish anything right now. For that reason, the Dolphins' defense should be able to contain the Jaguars throughout most of this game. If Miami can take away their opponents' rushing attack, this matchup could be over sooner, rather than later.

3. Myles Gaskin erupts for 100+ yards and 1 touchdown

He hasn't quite looked the same as last year, but Myles Gaskin has flashed his potential sporadically. Brian Flores must find a way to get the run game going to relieve pressure off of the quarterback. Gaskin has shown he has the talent to be a starting running back in the NFL. Now is the time for the coaching staff to utilize him correctly.

2. Jaylen Waddle records 2+ touchdowns

Jaylen Waddle has proven to be a consistent target who struggles at times due to his youth. It's been a solid rookie outing so far, and we could see Waddle take off for a huge game on Sunday. With Tua Tagovailoa back under center, anything can happen for the Dolphins rookie wide receiver.

With Jacksonville's secondary in a horrific state, Miami should consider a pass-heavy attack to take control of this game. If the coaching staff follows through with that, they should be able to pull away with a win. Waddle could be in for a massive performance, as he has all of the tools necessary to be a legitimate threat in the NFL.

1. Tua Tagovailoa bounces back and plays like a franchise quarterback

Although he's struggled to remain healthy so far, Tua Tagovailoa has shown flashes of being a solid NFL quarterback. After recovering from a rib injury, the Dolphins young starter makes his return in Week 6. Miami has been struggling without Tagovailoa and this matchup against the Jaguars could be what the franchise needs to right the ship. We'll see how it plays out, but Tua Tagovailoa should be able to take advantage of Jacksonville's suspect defense.
