We are now less than two months away from the highly anticipated return of “Iron” Mike Tyson to the boxing ring where he will take on former YouTuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul on July 20th. However, on a cross-country flight from Miami to Los Angeles, Mike Tyson suffered a medical emergency with just about 30 minutes left to land at LAX airport.

After it was reported that Tyson had a medical scare midflight his representatives came out and told The New York Post in an email “Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great” and that “He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him”.

In Touch Weekly came out with the details of what happened during the flight from Miami to Los Angeles, “Mike had some kind of medical emergency of the plane and paramedics boarded,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor, the message came on everyone's screens.”

After the flight finally safely landed in Los Angeles, they were able to get Tyson the medical attention that he urgently needed.

“He was in first class, but we were in an exit row and the stewardess was very chatty. They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “She said something like, ‘He’s a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he’s okay.’ I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded her head yes.”

Mike Tyson looking to turn back time in his first sanctioned fight since 2005

Mike Tyson is scheduled to face off against Jake Paul in his first sanctioned fight since 2005 at age 57 soon to be 58 next month. The last time we saw Tyson in the ring was when he fought former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition fight that ultimately ended in a draw.

Now, Tyson will look to turn back the time and find some youth at his age when he takes on former YouTuber turned rising professional boxer Jake Paul who's 31 years younger than he is. This fight many believed this was just going to be an exhibition fight, with headgear, and padded gloves to make it a less dangerous fight for the aging Hall Of Fame boxer but that's not the case as this will be a sanctioned fight where knockouts will be allowed and no headgear will be worn. However, the gloves will be 14 Oz gloves but the rounds will be 8-2 minute rounds to provide the fans with more excitement.

This fight card will air live and free for Netflix subscribers on July 20th and will have a stacked undercard leading up to the main event:
