There is a growing sense of urgency surrounding the Los Angeles Angels heading into the 2022 campaign after they missed out on the postseason for the seventh straight season last year. From Mike Trout’s perspective, he sees plenty of potential with what his team can achieve this season.
“I think just having the full lineup together healthy,” Trout told MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM. “We got Ohtani, Rendon, Upton. This whole team can do damage, the pitchers we brought in and the staff and the bullpen. I'm looking forward to it.”
As Trout touched on, the Angels lineup faced a multitude of injuries over the campaign. Trout was sidelined for the remainder of the year after he suffered what turned out to be a season-ending right calf injury in May. Anthony Rendon also missed time due to groin, knee, hamstring and hip injuries.

As Trout noted, the Angels have been busy in rejuvenating their starting rotation and bullpen, which includes hauling in Noah Syndergaard and Ryan Tepera.
The Angels will kick off their 2022 regular season schedule with a four-game home series against the Houston Astros beginning on April 7.
