Moana 2 is coming! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared a new movie poster highlighting what's ahead.

Johnson, who plays Maui, posted the photo on X. In it, he wrote, “The ocean is calling her back. Experience the new trailer for Disney's #Moana2 tomorrow and see the movie only in theaters November 27, 2024!”

The image features a horn shaped like a hook and a paddle on the beach, forming a number two, with Moana blowing on a horn in the background. It's sunset or sunrise behind palm trees, white sand, and the water.

Fans are ecstatic. “Absolutely cannot wait for this!!!” wrote one X user. “LET'S GO,” someone else commented.

About Moana 2

The official logline of the movie reads:

“In Walt Disney Animation Studios' all-new epic animated musical, Moana 2, three years since her first voyage, Moana is on an expansive journey in search of people beyond the shores of Motunui. Joined by Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she's ever faced.”

PEOPLE reported back in April that Bob Iger, Disney's CEO, said of the movie, “Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise, and we can't wait to give you more of Moana and Maui.”

The film will feature original characters such as Moana (Auliʻi Cravalho) from the first film. Also, as the logline states, “brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers.” It was directed by Dave Derrick Jr., who had previously worked on the live-action Lion King, Encanto, and Raya and the Last Dragon.

As for the music, it has a team of Grammy nominees handling that aspect of the movie. Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, who worked on the Grammy-winning album The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical, were the songwriters alongside Opetaia Foa’i and Grammy winner Mark Mancina.

The new film will not feature Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the tunes for the first movie, including How Far I'll Go.

This isn't the first time The Rock has shared an inside scoop about what's to come.

Last month, the actor posted an Instagram photo collage that included pics of him doing voiceovers for the film. In it, he captioned the photos by saying, “Bringing MAUI back to life for MOANA 2! So much fun becoming MAUI again — a character that changed my life in many ways — including the character of MAUI being inspired by my late grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia.”

He added, “The Polynesian cultural significance of the role and our story has touched families around the world and has easily become one of my truest honors to bring to life and share. New characters, new journeys, new music. Excited for you and your families around the world to join us on this journey. You will feel the mana.”
