Capcom is slowly ramping up the excitement as they count down the days leading up to the release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, a full-on expansion for Monster Hunter Rise which features new areas, new monsters, new silkbind attacks and so much more. In order to get players familiar with the expansion, Capcom has released a new video tour where they are showcasing the Citidel, one of the newest areas that players will visit in Sunbreak, and a hotbed for master rank quests.

In this video, the hunter can be seen traveling a forest area with a distinctly medieval feel, as the area contains a large castle in the center of the landscape. A narrator in the video explains that the castle was once a bustling hub of activity, but has since been abandoned and fallen into ruin. The castle is now home to a number of dangerous monsters, who have all marked their territory in mysterious ways. The citadel also has several other biomes, including ice-covered mountains and foggy swamps.

Capcom has also showcased more upcoming content in another video, this time featuring Garangolm, a monster that is completely new to the Monster Hutner series. This monster sports an ape-like appearance while being covered in stone scales. Relying mostly on brute strength, this monster can be seen using its entire body while attacking its enemies, including its own head. After it takes a considerable amount of damage, Garangolm will become enraged, and attempt to tackle its enemies with a new tactic by covering its hands in magma and moss. With this, Garangolm will be able to deal fire and water damage, causing hunters to take damage over time or recover stamina at a slower rate, respectively.
