The Indiana Pacers will be without shooting guard Monta Ellis for the week as he is set to miss the next four games with a groin injury, according to Jordan Wilson of the Indianapolis Star.

Ellis will miss tonight's game against the Charlotte Hornets and will not travel for the team's upcoming three-game road trip, per head coach Nate McMillan.

The Mississippi native will be replaced by Glenn Robinson III in the starting lineup, who holds averages of 6.3 points and 2.7 rebounds this season. However, in five starts prior to Monday's game, Robinson is averaging 15.2 points on 52.4 percent shooting from deep along with 6.4 rebounds. Lefty sharpshooter C.J. Miles is bound to get an uptick in minutes filling in for Robinson and star forward Paul George.

“Glenn has stepped in before for Paul and has done a solid job,” McMillan said after Monday's morning practice. “Really wings are similar in what we need from them out on the floor. It's really not a big change for Glenn, just changing the size of the floor. We're hoping he can come in and do the things that he's done when he stepped in for Paul.”

Robinson III replaced Ellis in the second half after his injury in Saturday's game, finishing with five points.

“I know I always take advantage of these situations, always ready to go,” Robinson said. “You never want to see someone go down, but next man up. I know I'll be ready.”

Ellis has had a very poor showing this season, dropping off in nearly all categories, but most importantly a dip in scoring under double digits. His 9.7 points per game average would be a career-low if it weren't for his rookie season average of 6.8 points per game.
