The Washington Mystics take on the Seattle Storm. Our WNBA odds series has our Mystics Storm prediction, odds, and pick. Find out how to watch Mystics Storm.

The Washington Mystics might have noticed that on Friday night, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever finally won a WNBA regular-season game. This leaves Washington as the only winless team in the WNBA. What is exquisitely painful for the Mystics is that they are playing hard and competing well. They are not getting blown off the court. Anything but. The Mystics have actually covered the spread in a majority of their games so far this season. Yet, they don't have a single straight-up (money line) win to show for it. The Mystics were 6.5-point underdogs at the Phoenix Mercury earlier this week. They lost by three points. They covered but didn't get a win in the standings. They were 3.5-point underdogs against the Los Angeles Sparks this past week. They lost by two. They covered but walked off the court in defeat. Washington is cashing point-spread betting tickets for its backers, but it is winless in the league and is feeling the strain of the season two weeks in. This team is desperate to get a win, and we'll see if a trip north to Seattle (from L.A.) will finally produce a victory for the Mystics.

These two teams played a week ago in Washington. Seattle was favored by 6 to 6.5 points before tipoff and managed to win by nine, 84-75. You will note the point total for this game is very close to the 159 points these teams generated in their first matchup.

Why The Mystics Could Cover The Spread

The Mystics have covered the spread in most of their games. They're getting nine whole points against a Seattle Storm team which barely beat the not-very-good Indiana Fever at home earlier this week by only two, 85-83. Seattle has talent, but the Storm do not look like one of the WNBA's better teams in the early part of the season. To be more precise, Seattle is the eighth-best team in the league if you go by overall record. There are seven teams with no more than one loss. There are four teams with no more than one win. Seattle is in between those two groups with a 2-3 record, which puts the Storm eighth in the league. Washington can keep this game within single digits, and unless the single-digit margin is nine points (in which case it would be a push), Mystics bettors will once again cash a winning ticket.

Why The Storm Could Cover The Spread

The Storm beat Washington by nine on the road, so it stands to reason they can win by more than nine at home. As long as they win by 10 or more, they will cover. Washington is slogging through a long West Coast road trip and could be mentally fatigued at this point. Seattle can play better than it did versus the Indiana Fever. If the Storm play well, they can win this game big.

Final Mystics-Storm Prediction & Pick

The Storm aren't playing great, so if you absolutely had to lean to a side, it would be Washington. However, neither team is trustworthy, so you should stay away and wait for a live play.
