Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson went down clutching his left knee late in the third quarter of their intense battle in Game 6.

Toronto Raptors superstar Kawhi Leonard admitted in the post-game press conference that he was legitimately concerned about Thompson when he injured his knee. He added that while they were worried about their fallen foe's well being, they still had to shift their mindset to the task at hand.

That's great sportsmanship from a true champion.

Unfortunately, while Leonard did wish the best for Thompson's recovery, it will be long road back for the two-way sniper as he reportedly suffered a torn ACL.

Klay Thompson landed awkwardly on his left knee after a dunk attempt in transition and immediately writhed in pain. He was carried to the back, but valiantly and surprisingly came back out a minute later to shoot the freethrows.

After knocking down the freethrows, Thompson attempted to keep on playing, but the Warriors chose to check up on him in the locker room. Unfortunately, that's the last we saw of him as he was eventually ruled out of the game. He finished his night and his season with 30 points on 8-of-12 shooting and made four three-pointers.

It's definitely a tough break for him and the Warriors. Thompson is set to become an unrestricted free agent and could be in line for a huge payday and a bevy of suitors all over the league. Now, he's staring at a 10-month recovery timeline.

The Warriors are likely to keep Klay Thompson. But their 2019-20 season outlook already looks very bleak with Thompson and Kevin Durant – whether he's still with Golden State or not – out of commission.
