Seemingly every summer now, Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons posts his workout videos showing his improved range—raising hopes that he has finally addressed his biggest weakness. The 2021 offseason is no different, but this time, NBA fans are no longer believing the hype.

During the latest Chris Johnson Hoops game in Los Angeles, the Sixers point-forward was spotted working out with his fellow NBA stars like Ja Morant, Aaron Gordon, Darius Bazley, Tyrese Maxey, and Jaren Jackson Jr. Surprisingly, Simmons was on point with his shooting, hitting a couple of long range shots in the process.

His stroke also looked great, which would have been enough to hype up his offseason work.

Unfortunately for Ben Simmons, NBA fanatics aren't just buying it anymore. The Australian star has been working on his shooting for years now, but his fans have only suffered from disappointment over the years.

The timing of the video spreading like wildfire is also suspicious, especially since the Sixers are trying hard to trade Simmons with a heavy price tag. Are they purposely hyping him up to show that his shooting woes are not a big issue? It's possible. However, NBA supporters certainly want him to perform during games more than just in pickup basketball.

It's hard to blame the NBA faithful for the heavy trolling of the Sixers playmaker. Simmons certainly has a lot to prove, particularly after his poor display during the 2021 playoffs.

Whether he stays with the Sixers or not at the start of the 2021-22 NBA season remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: All eyes will be on him as he looks to prove his doubters wrong.
