For NBA icon Isiah Thomas, Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors is the biggest free agent this summer. The other free agents are ‘a tier or two below' the two-time Finals MVP.

Per Ian Begley of SNY, Thomas believes that Durant is the best player in the game. Thus, in the event that he joins decides to leave the Warriors for another team, that team is going to be good. As for the other free agents, Thomas is iffy if they can change a franchise as Durant can.

“To me, the best player in the game right now is Kevin Durant. Whatever team he joins, he can change that franchise. Everyone else is a tier or two below him and I'm not sure if those are franchise-changing players if they don't have a combination of the two,” Thomas said. “With so many teams having so much money, I don't know if any team will be the position where they'll be able to attract three players like we've seen Miami do. But there's a chance two of them can team up. I'll just say this, whoever teams up with Kevin Durant, they're going to be good.”

Apart from Durant, the likes of Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard, Klay Thompson, Kemba Walker, and Jimmy Butler will be free agents this summer. Early rumors say that Durant will head to a rebuilding team like the New York Knicks who have enough cap space for two elite-level players.

There are no doubts about Thomas' claims. Durant definitely is one of the best today. Perhaps the only concern about him is whether or not he'll leave the Warriors. If so, which team will it be?
