People should not sleep on the potential of Zaire Wade, the son of three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade. While LeBron James’ kid, Bronny, receives most of the hype these days among children of today’s NBA stars, Zaire has been slowly gaining internet fame thanks to his highlight clips and, of course, his father.

If Zaire has any plans of becoming an NBA superstar like his father one day, he’s already many steps ahead of his batch – at least in terms of where he’s getting guidance from. And it’s not only because Dwyane Wade gives Zaire a convenient source of basketball wisdom. It’s also due to the fact that Zaire enjoys the luxury of getting tips from his father’s other NBA superstar friends like Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant.

In a recent Overtime video, Durant sat with Zaire and expressed to the young baller some of his observations in the latter’s game along with some extra words that will inspire him to get even better in basketball.

“How I picture your game is, I like when you’re the second, third option, you getting everybody involved, then boom you go off 15, 16, but I think you could get six, seven assists, five or six rebounds too. It ain’t all about the bucket impact the game always shooting the ball sometimes because you want a good team.

“Keep balling, bro. You got a long ways to go. It ain’t gonna happen overnight, either. Keep working. You know I got you whenever you need something, hit me. If you got something you want to talk about, hit me. I know pops good, but just to give you a different look. I’m here for you.”

Hopefully Zaire takes this guidance to heart.
