San Antonio Spurs legend Tony Parker wants to own an NBA team soon.

In an interview with Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, Parker said he has hopes of owning an NBA franchise in the next “five to 10 years.”

“I plan on staying in the U.S. I love the U.S. I have been living here for 20 years, and I don’t mind traveling,” Parker said when asked if he plans to move back to Lyon. “The ultimate goal is to one day own an NBA team. I know with the OL group, we have big dreams.”

The former Spurs star guard also noted that “it's a strong possibility” that his French group will try to purchase an NBA team if one becomes available.

“Right now, we have different objectives and goals. But in five to 10 years … I am the type of person who always dreams big. I have already had discussions with the soccer president about that,” Tony Parker added.

Parker is one of the best point guards in NBA history. He spent the first 17 years of his career with the Spurs. The guard was a six-time All-Star in San Antonio, won four NBA championships, and was the 2007 Finals MVP when the team defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games.

In 1,198 games with the Spurs, Parker finished his San Antonio career with averages of 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists. Tony played one season with the Charlotte Hornets before retiring from the NBA. He will certainly go down as one of the top international players in NBA history.

The Spurs retired Parker's No. 9 jersey earlier this season.
