The Chicago Bulls are second in the Eastern Conference with a (30-17) record. They are fresh off of a win over the Toronto Raptors and the Oklahoma City Thunder before that. The San Antonio Spurs host former Spur DeMar DeRozan for the first time since he played there last season. They are (18-31) on the season which puts them 12th in the West. San Antonio lost to the Memphis Grizzlies last time out.

Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread
The Bulls are underdogs on the road in this one which is a bit of a surprise. They are without Lonzo Ball and Derrick Jones Jr., but that shouldn't be enough to deplete this team. They are facing one of the worst teams in the NBA a day after DeRozan was named a starter for the East All-Stars. He's also playing his former team so I'm not sure why they aren't favorites in this one. That should make this decision pretty easy for bettors. On the defensive end, they will need to contain Dejounte Murray who averages 19 points per game. If they do that then they should be in a position to cover this spread. Chicago is 26-19-1 against the spread this year.
Why The Spurs Could Cover The Spread
San Antonio comes in as the favorites at home against one of the best teams in the NBA. This is not going to be an easy game for them to cover but they have been one of the better teams in the NBA ATS. A (25-23) record is better than expected and that means they keep most of their games close. San Antonio will need to contain DeRozan and Zach Lavine if they want a chance to cover. The Bulls are loaded with talent so the Spurs will need to play their best basketball of the season to win this game. They are just 9-16 at home this season so the fact that they are favored here is a questionable call.

Final Bulls-Spurs Prediction & Pick
The Bulls are the pick to make here. Both teams have struggled lately as Chicago is (4-6) and San Antonio is (3-7) in their last 10 games. The Bulls are clearly the better team so the fact that they are being given two points on the road here seems like the right call. This over/under is pretty high for this type of game so I would consider taking the under in this one as well.
