These two teams have had very similar seasons so far. The Chicago Bulls have looked good lately but just had their six-game winning streak snapped. While the Miami Heat have also been a top team and have won their last three matches. This should be a great game between two of the more competitive teams in the league.

Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread

The Chicago Bulls have been one of the most competitive teams in the league this season. Through their first 61 games, they have a record of 39-22. Prior to their last game, they had won six games in a row. That winning streak ended, however, when they faced off against the Grizzlies on Saturday. The Bulls came up short by six but will look to bounce back against another tough opponent. This Chicago team is capable of keeping pace and competing with any team in the league. This match should be extremely competitive.

The Bulls dug themselves into a hole early in their last contest. The Grizzlies outscored them by nine in the first quarter and held a seven-point lead over them heading into the second half. Memphis then outscored them by seven in the third quarter, and when Chicago started to rally in the fourth quarter it was too little too late. LaVine and DeRozan put in solid performances, but the rest of the team just fell flat. When everyone steps up this Bulls team looks nearly unstoppable, but when they fail to do so they just come up short.

A big concern for this Bulls team is health. Chicago has been hit with injuries all season, and that is still the case ahead of Monday's match. The Bulls have four players listed on their injury report. Both Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso are still out with injuries. Nikola Vucevic, however, is listed as probable for the game. Having Vucevic is a difference-maker, and the Bulls still have enough of their roster to compete and win this game.

Why The Heat Could Cover The Spread

The Miami Heat have also had an impressive season. When this team has been healthy they have managed to compete and beat some of the best teams in the league. Through their first 61 games, they are 40-21. Miami is coming off back-to-back wins out of the All-Star break. Miami took down the Knicks by 15 and most recently defeated the Spurs by four. The Heat will look to carry that momentum into a tough matchup on Monday. The Bulls have been one of the best teams in the league, and while this game is certainly winnable for Miami, it will not be easy. Expect them to really turn up the heat for this one.

One of the best things about this Heat team is that anyone has the potential to go off and contribute. In their win over San Antonio, three players combined for 90 points. Bam Adebayo had an impressive 36 and both Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro scored 27. In their win over the Knicks, Herro led the team in scoring with 25, followed by Butler with 23, and Lowry with 19. Miami spreads the ball around and has scoring threats throughout the court. This makes them extremely difficult to play against. If they can continue to distribute the ball evenly then the Bulls will have a tough time holding on.

While many of Miami's key players will be available for Monday's match, they currently have four players listed on their injury report. Kyle Lowry and Markieff Morris are both out for the game, while Caleb Martin is listed as questionable. Expect Butler, Adebayo, and Herro to continue leading this team and to supply the majority of the offense. This trio is tough to match up against and if they are hitting their shots then this game could easily go Miami's way.

Final Bulls-Heat Prediction & Pick

This is a difficult decision. The Heat have been playing well recently and they managed to grab a dominant victory over the Knicks. However, they really should have beaten the Spurs by more. The Bulls, on the other hand, are coming off a loss to the Grizzlies but scored an impressive victory over the Hawks in the game prior. Chicago has really faced tougher competition and held their own, so they should be able to come out ahead here. Pick the Bulls to win and cover.
