The Phoenix Suns are one of the best stories of the season as they currently hold the best record in the NBA with just seven games left to play. The Suns control their fate for home-court advantage throughout the playoffs and know the importance of each of these seven remaining games. Phoenix has been winning tough games lately, including wins against New York, Utah, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Milwaukee over the past couple of weeks.
This young squad will hope to continue winning tough games like this down the stretch as they prepare for their first playoff run together. The Suns' latest win in Cleveland last night was disappointing to their standard but showed the resilience of this group as they pulled off a 16-point victory in overtime. Chris Paul continues to be the catalyst for Phoenix with another double-double performance against the Cavs. Paul went for 23 points, 16 assists, six boards, four steals, and two blocks in the win. Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges, and Deandre Ayton continued their dominance in the impressive all-around performance as well. Phoenix is 4-1 ATS in their last five games coming in.

It's amazing to think that the Atlanta Hawks still hold the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with all of the injuries they've battled. The Hawks are still without De'Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish for the foreseeable future. Trae Young finally returned last week for the Hawks and they've won two straight games with him on the floor. Atlanta has wavered down the stretch but has seemed to get back on track with its latest win coming against the surging Portland Trail Blazers.
The Hawks sank 20 threes in the win with Danilo Gallinari and Bogdan Bogdanovic hitting seven each. Gallo led the way for Atlanta with 28 points and eight boards. Trae Young went cold from deep but still registered a double-double with 21 points and 11 dimes. Clint Capela and John Collins added impressive performances in an all-around win that has to feel so good for this Hawks team. With Hunter and Reddish expected to be out until the start of the postseason, Atlanta will look to replicate deep performances like the one against the Blazers down the stretch. As much as I do like the talent that this Atlanta Hawks team possesses, they are still a weight-class or two below the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix survived a scare against the Cavs last night, which I'm assuming is the explanation for this line moving to pick'em. The Suns are the deeper team with more top-end talent and a much better defensive unit. Phoenix is still in the thick of a heated battle with Utah and needs every win they can get down the stretch. Look for them to come out clicking on all cylinders in this inter-conference affair.
