The Memphis Grizzlies will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in a crucial game six matchup on Friday. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Grizzlies-Timberwolves prediction and pick.

This is one of the best series in the entire postseason so far. The Timberwolves started things off with a road upset, but the Grizzlies quickly responded with back-to-back blowout victories. Games four and five were both incredibly close, with each side taking home a win. Now Memphis will have the chance to end the series on the road and advance to face the Golden State Warriors. This should be another great game, so let's get into the pick.

Why The Grizzlies Could Cover The Spread

Memphis's high-flying offense hasn't really been contained in this series. The Grizzlies put up 117 points or more in three of five contests so far. Even in game three, when Memphis only managed 104 points, they shot 43% from the field and 37% from three-point range. Those aren't great numbers, but they're more than serviceable. Star point guard Ja Morant has looked unstoppable at times, and shooting guard Desmond Bane has shown his ability to be the go-to scorer on the Grizzlies. It's unlikely a Timberwolves defense that allowed 113 points per game during the regular season will be able slow Memphis down here.

In both Minnesota wins this series, the Timberwolves shot astronomically well from the field. The T-Wolves shot 50% from the field and 39% from three in game one, two numbers that were both well above their season average. In their next win, Minnesota somehow managed to 50% from beyond the arc. It's clear that the T-Wolves need to be red-hot from the field to keep things close. That's one of the least reliable ways to win, and there's a chance that that shows in this one.

Why The Timberwolves Could Cover The Spread

Star center Karl-Anthony Towns is beginning to catch fire. Towns has notched a double-double in each of the last two games while scoring 28 or more points in both contests. The Grizzlies have essentially taken center Steven Adams out of the rotation, leaving them short on the size necessary to match up with the 7-foot Towns. His hot streak has led to one Minnesota victory and another two-point loss. Towns will play another quality game here, and that could lead to a Timberwolves win and cover.

The Timberwolves are lucky to be playing on their home floor in this game. Minnesota went 26-15 on their home turf over the course of the regular season while notching a 20-21 record on the road. The Grizzlies were also more comfortable at home this season, as they earned a slightly better record in FedEx Forum than they did anywhere else. The T-Wolves should benefit hugely from playing in front of what is sure to be a rabid fanbase at home.

Final Grizzlies-Timberwolves Prediction & Pick

The Grizzlies should clinch a cover and the series in this one. The Timberwolves are just too streaky to bet against an elite team like Memphis.

Final Grizzlies-Timberwolves Prediction & Pick: Memphis Grizzlies: -1.5 (-108)
