With the NBA Top 75 Greatest Players having been released recently, many fans and former players have chimed in on their potential snubs. Fans are calling out the NBA for not including this and that player on the list. Active players are vouching for either fellow players or themselves, saying they deserve to be on that list. This is always what happens whenever a ranking or any sort of group award gets released.

With regards to that, former Pelicans coach and now-analyst Stan Van Gundy had some words for these players. In a Tweet about who was snubbed in the NBA Top 75 list, SVG said this:

‘I have one rule on the “who was left out” question — if you think someone deserves to be on the list, then you have to say who should be removed.'

Van Gundy has a point: it's easy to call out players who were left off of the Top 75 list. However, since this is a numbered list, if you wanted to include said player, someone else has to get booted out. Guys like Kyrie Irving, Dwight Howard, and Tracy McGrady are certainly damn great players, but do they have an argument over any of ones selected in the list?

One can't help but think, though, that Van Gundy may have a little more bias when it comes to this topic. After all, one of the most talked-about snubs from the NBA Top 75 list is Howard. And if you've forgotten, Van Gundy and Howard have some real beef against each other during their time in Orlando. Despite Dwight's achievements, perhaps SVG still harbors a bit of resentment towards him.

Potential personal biases aside, you have to agree that Van Gundy is in the right for this one.
