The Los Angeles Lakers aren't done making moves ahead of the NBA trade deadline just yet, as they have dealt Thomas Bryant to the Denver Nuggets for Davon Reed and three second-round picks, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Specifically, the Lakers will receive the Nuggets' 2025, 2026 and 2029 second round picks in the NBA trade deadline deal.

Reed, a former second round pick of the Phoenix Suns, is a four-year NBA veteran who has appeared in 114 games, posting averages of 3.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game while shooting 38.4 percent from the three-point line.

The Lakers were just involved in a three-team deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz that saw them ship out Russell Westbrook and bring in the likes of D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt.

Bryant, whose last game as a member of the Lakers came in a history-making contest that saw LeBron James become the league's all-time leading scorer, simply would have found minutes hard to come by given Los Angeles' recent NBA trade deadline additions.

Bryant, 25, signed a one-year deal with the Lakers back in the offseason after missing most of the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons due to a torn ACL.

He has averaged 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while shooting 65.4 percent from the field.

Now, Bryant will have the chance to be a backup and provide key frontcourt depth for one of the very best centers in the game, Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

Meanwhile, Lakers fans should expect the newly acquired Vanderbilt and promising young big man Wenyen Gabriel to compete for Bryant's leftover minutes.
