Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant and Boston Celtics swingman Evan Fournier figured in a heated exchange late in the third quarter of Game 2 of their playoffs series.

The commotion all started when Fournier got extra physical with Durant and appeared to slightly push him as he stumbled to the sideline. Of course, KD didn't appreciate it and fired some words to the Celtics newcomer. Fournier then didn't stop and seemed to call Durant a “b***h” that led to a more heated moment between the two players and teams.

Here's the full sequence that led to the chaos:

This kind of intensity and physicality is common in the playoffs, and both Evan Fournier and Kevin Durant know that very well. After all, with every game crucial, every stop is important and any way to get your opponents off their game is absolutely welcome.

For what it's worth though, the Celtics struggled immensely against the Nets in Game 2, so it might have played a role on why tempers flared at this particular moment.

Both players are crucial to their respective team's success, with the Celtics trading for Fournier at the 2021 deadline just to boost their playoff chances. With that said, he knows he can't do anything that will harm the team.

The same goes for Durant, as he is undoubtedly the most important player on the team. Considered as one of the best scorers in the NBA, KD can't let the usual trash-talking affect his game.

The said moment should make up for a good story though, especially as the Celtics look to make it a series and bounce back from the 2-0 deficit and the Nets hoping to make a statement and show the NBA their dominance.
