Stephen A. Smith always seems to have extremely bold takes. However, his recent one might have been his boldest yet. On Wednesday, Smith said that Michael Jordan “is responsible” for “changing the game for the worse.” This prompted an immediate response from Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant.

He took to Twitter early Thursday afternoon, claiming that it wasn't Jordan who negatively impacted the game. Instead, it was “guys like Steve, Skip [Bayless], and Shannon [Sharpe].”

Less than two hours later, Stephen A. snapped back at the Nets star. “We ain't going any damn place…We're not going away. We multiply,” he tweeted.

Of course, KD wasn't going to let this go. Which is why less than ten minutes later, the Nets forward responded with a viral video of Stephen A, throwing his “We don't care” right back in his face.

With a mic drop Tweet like that, it's unlikely that Durant will be hearing back from Smith. At least for now, he has won the Twitter war.

What makes this interaction even more entertaining is the fact that this wasn't even KD's battle to fight. He was never brought up in the conversation, and neither were any of his Nets teammates. Not to mention, Smith's comment on Jordan only sounds like an insult superficially. He goes on to explain his point, making it clear that he had no intention of disrespecting the NBA legend.
