Boston Celtics center Aron Baynes has been ruled out of the team's Monday night game against the Orlando Magic after sustaining a hamstring injury, according to the team.
Baynes picked up the injury during their game against the New York Knicks on Saturday. He started for the Celtics against the Knicks for the first time this season, but he played in only 12 minutes after getting injured in the second quarter of the game.
The 31-year-old big man did not return after halftime, and the Celtics now reveal that Baynes has a right hamstring strain and will not be available against the Magic.

In his absence, the Celtics are expected to give Daniel Theis more playing time at the center spot behind Horford. Rookie big man Robert Williams III, selected 27th overall in this year's draft, could also make his debut considering Baynes' injury.
Baynes is a key rotation player for Boston, having started in 67 of 81 games for the team last year. Fortunately for the Celtics, missing him one game wouldn't hurt. Besides, the team has enough depth to fill his void while he recovers.
