The Charlotte Hornets have been rolling as of late. They secured their fourth straight win after defeating the red-hot Dallas Mavericks 129-108, and it seems like they have captured lighting in a bottle and have just ran away with it. This is their longest winning streak in almost two months as they remain in contention for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Charlotte really dug themselves in a hole, but the Hornets stayed the course, won a couple of games and tightened up their defense. Miles Bridges has been one of the main factors during the win streak. Against the Mavs, he put up a team-high 23 points.
He never lost faith in his squad, as he shouldn't. In his postgame press conference, he spoke his truth.
“We knew it was gonna turn around for us eventually. We went on a losing streak when we weren't playing well in February. It's been a good month of March and we just wanna keep it consistent. That's on us to do that,” Bridges shared.
The game of basketball is always considered to be a game of runs and the season should be coveted in the same fashion. Even some of the better teams can find themselves in a funk, but as long as you're able to dig yourself out of the hole, you'll be fine. The Hornets got their rhythm back kind of late, but it's better late than never, right?
Bridges wants to keep the momentum going, as does the team, but he has one special message that his squad must remember down the stretch of the season as they play good and subpar teams.

“We gotta treat every game like a playoff game. We can't play the other teams to their record,” the Hornets big man added.
The Hornets' next two games are against teams who have records below .500 in the New Orleans Pelicans and the New York Knicks. Still, they have good players on their teams that can make any game a dogfight. Charlotte is in the ninth spot in the East, but the Hawks are hot on their heels at the 10th seed. Things are starting to heat up, but Miles Bridges and co. are peaking at the right time.
Like James Borrego mentioned, “You wanna be playing your best basketball at this time,” and it holds true.
The Hornets are fighting and the league is on notice. They look good, and they just have to stick to excelling in transition, playing team defense, and most importantly, staying together.
