Just like every contending team, there are still some questions about this Bulls team and if they are going to want to win an NBA title, they're going to have to avoid some major mistakes that have been made by other front offices of championship contenders in the past.

Bulls Must Avoids For 2022 Season

3. Can not get comfortable with the current roster

The Bulls do have a very good roster but there are pieces that they are going to have to move. This by no means implies that they should trade any of their key pieces such as their starting five, Ayo Dosunmo, and maybe a few other guys.

The reality of the situation for this Chicago team is that in the playoffs they're going to need to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant. Obviously, there is no way in the world to stop both of those guys. Even if you play the best defense in the world, they're both going to get 30-plus points in the night but that's not necessarily a bad thing because Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan can pretty much do the same thing.

What Chicago can not allow is to make it easy on these guys. If Giannis and Durant are both scoring 35 plus points and you're not making it tough on them, those 35 points are going to turn into 40 to 50 points. Obviously, every night they are not going to explode for 50 points, but they are both certainly good enough to score 50 points if you do not make it tough on them.

The biggest thing that the Bulls need to do is find a few pieces that they are willing to part with in their organization and go out and get a forward or a center who can defend at the highest levels and make it tough on these guys. If they do not, they will not find much success in the playoffs.

2. Do not trade any of the major pieces for another big piece

The only move that the Chicago Bulls should necessarily be making this season is going out and getting a forward or a center who can defend at a high level. In order for the Bulls to continue finding the success that they have this season, they need to keep around DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and Nikola Vucevic.

Ayo Dosunmu is also somebody who the Bulls should highly think about keeping because he has flourished in his role and is certainly better than the second round draft pick that they used on him. Even if he does not necessarily get a bunch of minutes in the playoffs because they are going to be running out a lineup of LaVine and DeRozan at that guard position, he is still somebody who can develop into a very good point guard in this league and the Bulls need to make sure that they keep him for as long as they possibly can.

If Chicago does go out and trade any of these pieces, they could find themselves maybe being a little bit better if they can add somebody who is better than that player that they are trading, or they are going to hurt the locker room big time and that's going to cause them to not be as good because as we can see right now, they have a lot of chemistry and a lot of confidence within the team.

Even if the Indiana Pacers come back and say that they want Lonzo Ball, Caruso, Coby White, or somebody else for Myles Turner, the Bulls do need to decide about what they're going to do because they cannot trade most of those guys. If they can only just trade one of them, it could be an interesting decision to make, but at the end of the day chemistry is always going to win you games and even though the Bulls do need to make moves at the deadline, they have to be smart about what they do in the locker room.

1. Do not change the offense at all

The Chicago Bulls have been so good this season because DeMar DeRozan ends of Zach LaVine share the basketball and get to their spots whenever they want. The Bulls cannot get into a different offensive scheme and allow these guys to do any different. If DeRozan and LaVine are not playing the type of basketball that they are playing right now, the Bulls will not find much success in the playoffs when they have to face the tougher teams in the Eastern Conference such as the Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls.

They cannot let anybody else take 15 to 20 shots a night, and they're going to need these guys to be the best in the world just like they have been so far this season.
