It's looking like Robin Lopez will end up finishing the 2018-19 campaign with the Chicago Bulls after all.

In spite of rampant speculation that the Bulls and Lopez would both seek a buyout in order to move in different directions (with the Golden State Warriors a potential Lopez destination), it doesn't seem all that likely, and Lopez is still having fun in Chicago:

“I haven't even been thinking about it,” said Lopez, according to Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald. “We've been having a lot of fun out on the court right now and I'm relishing it.”

Players have to be bought out by Friday in order to join another team for the playoffs.

Playing time had been hard to come by for Lopez earlier in the season, but lately, the big man is seeing a lot of burn, and he is making the most of it. Over his last five games, Lopez is averaging 20.6 points over 31.4 minutes per game, and in the month of February overall, Lopez is registering 16.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks across 26.7 minutes a night while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor and 81.3 percent from the free-throw line.

On the season, the 30-year-old is recording 7.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and a block through 18.5 minutes per game while making 56.4 percent of his field goal attempts and 72.0 percent of his foul shots.

He has spent the last three seasons with the Bulls.

Lopez, who played his collegiate basketball at Stanford University, was originally selected by the Phoenix Suns in the first round (15th pick overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft.

He spent the first four years of his career with the Suns. Between his stints in Phoenix and Chicago, Lopez also played for the New Orleans Hornets (now the Pelicans), Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks.
