Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan says Vince Carter's elbow dunk from the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest is the most amazing dunk he's ever seen.

Jordan — who some believe is the best dunker of all-time — says what Carter did in 2000 was unbelievable:

“The most amazing dunk I have ever seen is probably Vince Carter when he hung his elbow in the rim,” Jordan said, via the Star Tribune. “To me that was, without question, just unbelievable.”

More than three decades have passed since Jordan defeated Atlanta Hawks great Dominique Wilkins in the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest in The Windy City. It’s going be cool to see Derrick Jones Jr., Dwight Howard and Aaron Gordon put on a show at the United Center on Saturday.

Howard — the 2008 Slam Dunk champion and former Orlando Magic star — will compete in the event for the first time since 2009, when he made the last of three consecutive appearances. Gordon’s runner-up performance in 2016 included three straight perfect scores of 50. Fans are anxious to see what he has in store this time around.

Jones finished second in 2017, while Pat Connaughton is seeking to become the first Milwaukee Bucks player to win the contest. Fans were hoping for a rematch between Gordon and Zach LaVine, but LaVine opted not to participate since he’s won the event twice already.

Jordan's dunk contest win over Wilkins is still talked about today. Some will say Wilkins was robbed and you can probably make a point to say he was, but Jordan had the home crowd on his side and that surely impacted the judges.

Carter's win in 2000 was pretty legendary as well. It's too bad we were never able to see Jordan and Carter battle it out in the contest. That would have been so much fun to see each guy come with new tricks on the spot against a fellow elite dunker.

Jordan is the best player of all time, but you could make a case to say Carter is the best in-game dunker, although don't tell Jordan that either.
