Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan have brought the Chicago Bulls back to relevance. After the former developed into a star on some bad Bulls teams, the latter joined this past offseason and is playing the best basketball of his career. Together, they're leading one of the very best offenses in the league.

The Bulls are tied for the best record in the Eastern Conference. According to the Chicago Tribune's Julia Poe, LaVine and DeRozan believe they're the best duo in the league. LaVine explained how crucial DeRozan has been to the team's success.

“I’m glad to have another guy that’s been in these situations, these big-time games, where we haven’t been in that before,” LaVine said. “He’s been to the Eastern Conference Finals a couple of times and been in big moments. His calmness is something that’s always been impressive to me.’’

DeRozan pointed out that the Bulls acquiring him this offseason showed that they're looking to be legit. His MVP-level performance has shown that Chicago is indeed looking to be a title contender.

“I think it’s just understood,” DeRozan said. “You see it. Especially my peers, we all have respect for one another. Going to Chicago, they knew I wasn’t just going to wear a Chicago Bulls jersey and get some free Jordans. I was going to make something happen.”

Although the claim that the LaVine-DeRozan pairing is the best duo in the league can be debated, their impact together can't be. They have meshed perfectly and are leading the Bulls to heights no one thought they could reach.
