After putting pen to paper on a four-year, $78 million deal over the summer, Chicago Bulls stud Zach LaVine has become the team's cornerstone superstar.
There are some who believe that given his lack of accomplishments in the league, the 23-year-old still has a lot to prove. LaVine is having none of this, and has no doubt that he deserves every penny of his multi-million dollar contract.
LaVine recently spoke with K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune and explained why he believes there is nothing to prove on his part.
āI donāt have to validate anything,ā the ultraconfident guard said. āI feel Iāve earned everything Iāve gotten.ā

When asked if he feels the weight of the huge amount of money the organization has invested in him, LaVine was his usual self-assured self.
āAdded pressure? Man, Iām the hardest critic out of everybody on my own side,ā LaVine explained. āIām just excited because I know Iāve had a really good summer. I know how good we can be.ā
LaVine did end on a positive note by saying that he is looking forward to the upcoming season with the Bulls. He is now a leader for his team, and it is important that he sets the tone early. It is likely that his teammates will quickly follow his lead.
While most do not expect much from the Bulls this season, it's still great for supporters to hear that their best player remains 200 percent committed to the team and its vision.
