The Chicago Bulls grabbed their 20th win on Sunday night, rolling past the Washington Wizards 126-117. Their young players feasted, with Zach LaVine even breaking Ben Gordon’s franchise record for most triples made in a single season.

The high-flyer made six 3-pointers during the game, totaling to 174 in only 58 games so far. For what it's worth, Gordon had 173 triples during the 2008-09 season.

The 6-foot-6 guard is having a stellar season for the Bulls, averaging 25.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. In fact, some would even say that he was snubbed in the recent All-Star selections. LaVine further proved their point by racking up 32 points and three steals in Sunday night’s game.

After the record-breaking feat, the 24-year-old LaVine gave a shoutout to Ben Gordon and vowed to improve all aspects of his game.

“That’s dope. Its two different eras obviously. I feel like BG was an incredible 3-point shooter,” LaVine said, per KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago. “It’s a credit to a lot of hard work I put into it. I’m going to continue to do my thing.”

Despite Zach LaVine’s stellar season and their recent win, the Bulls have failed to find their spark as a team. They are currently 10th in the East with a 20-38 losing record.

Reports during the All-Star Weekend have indicated Bulls executives making initial steps to replace Gar Forman as general manager. Fans can only hope that whatever changes there may be, it will soon lead to a playoff-contending team. Years of rebuilding has been far too enough.
