Among the many trade rumors involving Anthony Davis, Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls was recently mentioned.
But the guard reminded everyone of the specific clause in his contract that would prevent such a trade from pushing thru.
“Yeah, but I’ve got like a no-trade thing for my first year, so I don’t know if I can go anywhere,’’ LaVine said per Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.
“I’ll be in Chicago for at least this year.’’
So for Chicago fans, it's safe to say that LaVine will continue donning the Bulls jersey until the season ends. Unless of course, something crazy happens and the 23-year-old waives his no-trade clause.
LaVine himself admitted that anything can happen in the NBA. Many assumed that he was going to be the future of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“It’s the NBA, man,’’ LaVine said, when asked if there were concerns in the Bulls locker room of a trade containing mass players going to the Pelicans for Davis. “You understand the business of it, at least I do. I’ve been traded before. You just have to understand that part of it.”
Now, he's seen as the star player of the franchise. Though injury prone, LaVine has proven every night that he can rack up the points and perform at an elite level.
Hopefully, the Bulls see his value and retain him in the long run.
