Chicago Bulls forward Zach LaVine has been upgraded to questionable heading into the team's Wednesday night showdown against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Zach LaVine has not played since Chicago's 97-91 loss to the Orlando Magic on Dec. 13 due to a sprained left ankle.

However, it sounds like the Bulls may have their star forward back in the lineup after missing five straight games, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

LaVine is averaging 23.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game this season.

Of course, even with plenty of noteworthy performances early on, LaVine hasn't been able to help the Bulls completely turn things around due to a plethora of problems both on and off the court for the franchise.

Chicago currently sits at 9-25 on the season, and despite winning their last two games, there has been a bit more negative than positive this year for the storied franchise.

After firing former head coach Fred Hoiberg, the Bulls have moved forward with Jim Boylen at the helm, even if he's reportedly caused quite a stir at times with the players on the roster.

Getting LaVine back in the lineup should give the team a boost, and perhaps, it will be enough to help the Bulls get back on the right track.

Any type of positive momentum would help this team right now, and LaVine is undoubtedly a game-changer on both sides of the court.

LaVine and company will prepare for the Timberwolves before hitting the road for back-to-back games against the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors. If the Bulls can extend their winning streak, it would certainly be a major step in the right direction.
